Shaler Area Little League History
Shaler Area Little League is a non-profit community baseball and softball organization serving the entire Shaler and surrounding areas. Shaler Area Little League was formed in 2015 when they were granted a Little League Charter by the Little League International. SALL was preceded in name by North Shaler Athletic Association which was formed by a merger in 2013 of the long running organizations of Middle Road Athletic Association and DeHaven Athletic Association. In 2019, Braun Jeffery Athletic Association also joined with SALL.
Shaler Area Little League prides itself on developing the youth of Shaler to develop sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being throughout baseball and softball for many years. Shaler Area Little League has many playing fields throughout the area in order to accommodate the entire organization. Shaler Area Little League is supported by numerous businesses in the area in order for the young athletes to continue to have an enjoyable experience. As always, without parental volunteers, SALL could not be successful. Parental volunteers provide tremendous assistance in all areas in order to make sure all the youth members have an enjoyable experience through baseball and softball. We truly value everyone’s participation in the organization in order to make it a success year after year.
SALL is a member of the Northern Regional Baseball Association (NRBA) and the Greater Pittsburgh Girls Softball League (GPGSL).
